For nearly 200 years, Neir’s Tavern has stood as a place for community, connection, and support. Today, that mission continues, but it comes at a cost. In our effort to serve the community, we are often forced to sacrifice our own sustainability. Because we do not have a dedicated community space, local nonprofits are left to meet in cramped spaces, or we must host them within our main dining room. When we open our doors for community events, food drives, and local artists, we are frequently forced to turn away families and guests who come to dine with us. This creates a difficult balance between doing what is right for the community and maintaining the business that allows us to exist.

To solve this, we have taken an important step. We are in the process of renting the space next door to create a dedicated Community Hall. This new space will allow us to continue supporting local organizations, hosting events, and bringing people together, without sacrificing our day to day operations.

However, while we have secured the opportunity, we do not yet have all the funds needed to build and fully equip this space.

That is why we are asking for your help.

With your support, we can reclaim and rebuild a space for the community, a place where people can gather, create, and connect for generations to come. Together, we can ensure that Neir’s Tavern continues to serve not just as a business, but as a cornerstone of the community.
